Through the Lens of... mit ROSA

Through the lens of… invites you to experience Kunstraum Niederoesterreich’s exhibitions from the vantage point of very different disciplines and lived backgrounds. This time, representatives of the organisation ROSA have developed a Through the lens of… tour through our current exhibition Subterranean. ROSA is a socialist‑feminist, internationalist political organization in Vienna committed to fighting patriarchal violence, racism, and capitalist inequality. You can learn more about ROSA here.

Many of the structures that shape our everyday lives operate out of sight. How do these structures work? How can we become aware of them? Subterranean, curated by Sarah Johanna Theurer and Aditi Kapoor, offers plenty of material for discussing these questions. In their tour, the ROSA activists will use the works on view to show how social fragmentation and mutual dependency relate to one another – and what forms of solidarity and resistance can emerge from recognising these connections.
