House Rules

Dear Visitors!

We are pleased to welcome you to Kunstraum Niederoesterreich! To ensure our guests a pleasant stay in a safe environment and to protect the artworks and architecture from damage, we kindly ask you to observe the following rules during your visit.

  1. These house rules apply to all spaces in Kunstraum Niederoesterreich at Herrengasse 13, 1010 Vienna. Upon entry, all persons are subject to these house rules. The Kunstraum staff is responsible for implementing the respective regulations.
  2. Admission to the exhibitions and events of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich is free of charge.
  3. The side entrance of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich and the complete exhibition area are accessible at ground level and suitable for wheelchair users. A barrier-free WC is available.
  4. Discrimination is not tolerated at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich. Any form of discriminatory behavior based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, neurotypicality, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, or religion has no place at the Kunstraum. If you are subjected to or observe such behavior, please contact our team at the info desk who will support you.
  5. Umbrellas, backpacks, and larger bags can be stored in secure wardrobe lockers. No liability is assumed for deposited valuables.
  6. Lost property will be kept at the info desk. Items not collected will be handed over to the Lost Property Office.
  7. Smoking is not permitted on the premises of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich, except for designated outdoor areas. The current version of the fire safety regulations applies.
  8. The consumption of food and beverages is only permitted in special cases in designated areas (e.g. openings, workshops, etc.).
  9. Bicycles, scooters, and the like are prohibited inside Kunstraum Niederoesterreich. There are bicycle parking spaces in the courtyard of Palais Niederösterreich.
  10. Animals (especially assistance dogs) may be brought into the exhibition space but must be kept on a leash. Please pay attention to the safety of other visitors. Owners are liable for their dogs.
  11. Damages resulting from non-compliance with the house rules and accident prevention regulations are subject to full personal liability. Parents are liable for breaches of supervisory duties for their children. In the case of children and school groups, the liability rests with the designated supervisor. Teachers, group leaders, and legal guardians are responsible for the appropriate behavior of children and young people in their company.
  12. Posters and other advertising materials may only be posted or distributed in the designated places, depending on the available space, with the prior consent of the Kunstraum staff.
  13. Photography and filming for private purposes only are permitted. Recordings intended for other purposes require prior approval and must be announced.
  14. Events at the Kunstraum are filmed and photographed for documentation and commercial purposes. This film or photo material may also feature individual or several visitors. Upon entering the event, each person declares that he/she agrees to the publication of the images or film footage taken (also for promotional purposes of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich, e.g. on our homepage or in social networks, etc.). You can find our privacy policy at the info desk and HERE. You will find more detailed information about our data usage and your right to object. Your objection can be sent to datenverwaltung@noe-festival.at.
  15. For security reasons, the premises of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich are monitored by cameras. Kunstraum Niederoesterreich reserves the right to disclose these recordings to authorities or courts upon official request if necessary.
  16. All access ways, escape routes, and exits must remain unobstructed. Furnishings, chairs, and benches may not be removed from their respective locations. Exhibits may not be touched, damaged, or impaired in any other way. The premises must be kept clean.
  17. Kunstraum Niederoesterreich may only be entered via the designated and approved entrances or passages. Persons who do not belong to the Kunstraum staff are only permitted to enter rooms apart from the exhibition spaces after prior arrangement, on official business, or with the express permission of staff members.

The instructions of the staff are to be followed at all times. Visitors who violate the house rules may be prohibited to remain on the premises of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich.
