Episode 39: H13 Artist Talk 2025

Prophecy and charlatanism, fears and hopes for the future, questions of meaning and destiny and the fine art of ventriloquism: there was a lot going on in Stina Fors’ marathon performance Answer me, Pythia, which earned the performance artist this year’s H13 Prize. For two weeks, Fors was present at the Kunstraum on an almost daily basis, stepping into the role of the legendary Pythia, the prophetic high priestess of the ancient Oracle of Delphi, offering an on-demand prophecy service for the Kunstraum’s audience. What does it mean to embody an ancient seer over several days? And what role does divination play in Fors’ performative practice? These and other questions were discussed by Fors and Kunstraum‘s artistic director Frederike Sperling at this year’s H13 Artist Talk on Sat, 06.12. A recording of the conversation is now available in our Im Kunstraum audio library.
