Through the Lens of... mit Felix Helmut Wagner
Subterranean
Tue, 03.11.2026, 6.30pm
With Through the Lens of…, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich invites you to experience its exhibitions through the perspectives of a wide range of disciplines and lived experiences. For this edition, we have invited media artist and performer Felix Helmut Wagner to develop a performative tour of our current exhibition Subterranean. The exhibition explores the role that systems play in our everyday lives, a theme that closely resonates with Wagner’s artistic practice, as well as his background in civil engineering.
For his tour of Subterranean, Wagner will assume the role of "O", a character he has developed himself. As the artist explains, "'O' is a clown-like figure who operates on the fringes of language and, in doing so, attempts to develop new models of understanding the world."
The tour will be given in German. Participation is free of charge; no registration required.
Felix Helmut Wagner is a media artist, visual artist and performer born in Nuremberg and living in Vienna, with a background in civil engineering.
Wagner studied Fine Art at the Braunschweig University of the Arts, Sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, and Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, from which he graduated in 2021.
Before studying art, he completed a degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Structural Engineering.
