10 YEARS PERFORMANCE in the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich
Since ten years the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich has stood for artistic innovation and cutting-edge performance art. In the framework of its jubilee programme the Kunstraum presents emerging and internationally established positions in feminist performance art. Looking into the past as well as to the future, the programme is conceived as an invitation for exchanges between generations. Events with international guests – like the performance artist Martha Wilson, the media artist and professor for new artistic media Ulrike Rosenbach, or the documenta 12 curator Ruth Noack – accompany the exhibition programme.
For the next point on the jubilee agenda the Kunstraum goes beyond borders – also spatially – in a collaboration with the start-up enterprise Hobby Horse Ltd., which will offer its services in the framework of donaufestival in Krems. On the second donaufestival weekend the Performatorium – Laboratory for a Contemporary Performative Practice will make use of the special Kunstraum Container location.
