Projections on naked skin, flying cows, shadows taking on an independent existence, auto-cinema views and perspectives into spaces and worlds are themes of the first exhibition of 2013 in the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich. The "Elastic Video" exhibition, curated by the artists’ collective Plinque (Markus Hanakam, Claudia Larcher, Liddy Scheffknecht, Roswitha Schuller and Armin B. Wagner), plays with the concept of Expanded Cinema, but clearly understands the limits of the expandability of the concept of video. In 13 artistic positions, various different aspects of this concept are worked out and interpreted in the form of video-sculptures, venue-specific video montages and video installations. In the process the idea repeatedly encounters the expandability of time and space.
