Paul Renner speaks in the Kunstraum Niederösterreich on the “hell fire touring and dining club”.
The Vorarlberg chaos theorist and Nitsch student has been combining literary, historical and culinary ingredients in his artistic practice for 30 years. His lecture pays particular attention to the “theatrum anatomicum”, a culinary temple of the extreme, which he created for the Kunsthaus Bregenz in 2007.
Renner thereby gives a foretaste of two musical-poetic-culinary soirées at the Imago Dei 2009 Easter festival in the Krems Minorite Church Klangraum, which he sets under the motto “Excess from Asceticism” (Palm Sunday, 5 April) and “Ecstasy from Asceticism” (Tuesday 7 April).
