The discussion evening invites participants from three projects, two already realised and one at the planning stage, to a discussion in which different conceptions, needs and expectations of art are to be discussed from the perspective of those commissioning it, the artists, critical experts and the current jury for Lower Austria Art in Public Space.
When and why are particular projects successful and when not, and who decides what should be called successful in any case? Should/can all the various requirements and expectations of art in public space be fulfilled or is it sometimes better not to fulfil some demands? What conditions are needed for artists to be able to make sustainable and internationally regarded projects that are also understandable in the local context?

The discussion is addressed to all those interested, artists, events organisers and agents and attempts to achieve a new format of audience discussion that does without a panel.
