Archive: Book Launch "Outpost of Progress"
Michael Höpfner presents the book Outpost of Progress in the Kunstraum, published in cooperation with Spector Books Leipzig.
In a series of 43 black-and-white photos and one diary entry, the artist describes an administration post that he unexpectedly reached after several weeks’ trekking through a highland landscape in western China that was populated by nomads. The book is part of the project Outpost of Progress, on which the artist has been working since 2008.
For the book presentation, Michael Höpfner in discussion with the curator David Komary (Galerie Stadtpark, Krems) will present the project and the book Outpost of Progress.
