Kunstraum Niederoesterreich participates in this year's kinderaktiv vacation programme of wienXtra with The Frankensteins - (not) a creepy family portrait. The workshop with an interactive guided tour through our duo exhibition puzzled, is aimed specifically at families with children aged 3 to 6 years.
The two artists in the exhibition, Susanna Flock and Xénia Laffely, deal in their works with the transitional zone between the analog and the digital and their no longer existing separability. In the process, bodies assembled as if by Frankenstein appear again and again. In the workshop we become Frankensteins ourselves! Each family can develop its own creature together. But don't worry, we won't work with saws and our real, analog bodies, but stay in the realm of scissors, paper and digital photography.
After an interactive guided tour through the exhibition, it's time to get to work: You're allowed to take photos and perform, snapshots are expressly encouraged here. Afterwards, the digital photos will be processed in analog and reassembled in collages in a Frankenstein-like manner. The (not) creepy family portrait may of course be taken home afterwards for the ancestral gallery.
You are welcome to bring your own photos from the family album. In color or black and white, preferably already printed on A4.
The workshops are free and can be attended individually. Families with children aged 3 to 6 years can participate. The number of participants is limited to 15 persons per workshop due to the COVID-19 protection measures, therefore we ask for registration under +43 1 90 42 111 or by mail to lena.schuster[at]kunstraum.net.
ATTENTION: There are only free places available for SA, 23 07!
The workshops take place within the framework of the WIENXTRA-Kinderaktiv programme.
