Sunny Pfalzer, Teen-Spirit Self-Defense

DAY 2

SA, 19 11 2022, 12:00 – 3:00 pm

Sunny Pfalzer developed two performance workshops that take place during the exhibition HIIIIIIIT at Kunstraum. Starting from Sunny's work Gangs of Performative Activism, the workshop will explore modes of artistic, collective self-defense through performative strategies and text. In the first workshop, Sunny plans to explore performative research strategies, the power of anger, and a text by Elsa Dorlin with the participants; in the second workshop, Sunny focuses on embodied, activist strategies and the power of collective bodies.

In Sunny's words: “During the workshop we move, read, write, be angry and cute together. We test embodied performative strategies of activism and the possibility of turning “being together” into a tool for empowerment.”
