Performatorium #013 – mapping

Laboratory for a contemporary performative practice

SAT, 07 December 2019, 11am – 3pm

In continuation of the Performatorium #012 we want to develop the performance mapping further. In particular, we invite performance organisers and agents of the local scene to join our peer group workshop. Together, we negotiate and outline an intuitive, collective yet subjective performance map. If one understands the local performance scenes as networks: where do they begin, from which node do they take off and in which direction do they continue, in which spots do they consolidate and where do we find new scopes of action within the gaps?

Let us rethink, situate and relate what is already there and what we still lack regarding performance art: what possibilities and impossibilities, which places and institutions, supporting networks and open spaces are needed to experience performance, to explore and practice and research!

Participation is free and open to anyone interested.
Curated by Olivia Jaques and Marlies Surtmann.

This project is a cooperation between Performatorium Vienna and Kunstraum Niederoesterreich.
