We are pleased to open the exhibition Life constantly escapes with a preview on 25 02 2021.
The exhibition Life constantly escapes refuses this practice of separation. Inspired by theorists of the Black Radical Tradition such as Fred Moten and Denise Ferreira da Silva, guest curator Andrea Popelka brings together artists and poets who deconstruct the modern logic and its violence. Here, artists, art objects, and viewers are not seen as separate from one another – they become one on a sensual level.
Due to the security measures taken to contain the spread of COVID-19, we are not hosting an opening party, but invite you to a preview at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich during the time frame from 4 pm to 7:30 pm.
The exhibition is accompanied by a publication with poetic contributions by manuel arturo abreu, Sean Bonney, Diane di Prima, James Goodwin, Caspar Heinemann, Keguro M'acharia, Momtaza Mehri, Kashif Sharma-Patel, Ridwan Oyindamola Tijani and Bri Williams. On the occasion of the opening evening, the first twenty visitors will receive a goodie bag with the publication.
If changes are necessary due to measures against the spread of COVID-19, we will inform you here and in our newsletter.
