Due to the security measures taken to contain the spread of COVID-19, we are not hosting an opening party, but invite you to a preview at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich during the time frame from 5 pm to 9 pm.
The (technological) cloud is not only the place where data is stored, but also - with cloud computing, cloud gaming or cloud streaming - the place to which the central functions of computing power and learning artificial intelligence have migrated. The cloud is not a folder for filing, but our mastermind. Stormy Weather questions the relationship of the man-made clouds of our present day to human, climate and politics. Here you can find more information about the show.
Even without a party, we will not launch Stormy Weather without a drum roll: The first twenty visitors will receive a goodie bag with the exhibition catalogue. On the occasion of the preview, Artist Till Langschied will also be showing his Performance Palm Reading of Tumaroh from 6:30 pm. Tumaroh performs for one visitor at a time - therefore the seats are limited. Here you can find more information about the performance and registration.
Artists: Susanna Flock & Leonhard Müllner, Fragmentin (David Colombini, Marc Dubois and Laura Perrenoud), Stefan Karrer, Till Langschied, Marc Lee, Yein Lee, Christiane Peschek, Total Refusal (Robin Klengel, Leonhard Müllner and Michael Stumpf), Christoph Wachter & Mathias Jud
Curators: Katharina Brandl & Claire Hoffmann
The project is realised in cooperation with the Centre culturel suisse, Paris, where it will be shown from December 2020 to January 2021.
The realization of the exhibition is kindly supported by Pro Helvetia, Schweizer Kulturstiftung, Abteilung Kultur Basel-Stadt, BMEIA Federal Ministry Republic of Austria for European and International Affairs and forum culturel autrichien Paris.
