In the framework of our current exhibition T(( ))mb, we host two special game afternoons: we will play a role-playing game that is invented and acted out live by the participants themselves – in real time, so to speak. This form of improvised role play is called Live Action Role Play (LARP) and originated in Scandinavia in the 1970s.

Based on the five characters from OMSK Social Clubs current show T(( ))mb – Aria, Eden, Hollis, Lennox, and Skyler – we will enter a world on the cusp of fiction and reality. There will be a gamemaster (one of our mediators) and up to seven players. Each player is a co-creator of the game. Together we will address questions around community and make room for real and fictional thought processes. What should our community look like? We make plans for possible futures for our group and create communicational tools beyond common language in order to path the way for novel forms of togetherness. We can fantasize, draw, and of course play and discuss. By the way, this game works without elimination – sounds quite tempting, doesn't it?
