GUERILLA GIRLS: Rob(b)oter

What if we all had a Rob(b)oter?

WE, 20 07 2022, 2-4 pm

Workshop for kids

On the occasion of the exhibition LIMINAL SPACE RECORDS, which will be shown at the same time in the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich, we will make seal robots together, just "Rob(b)oters"! What if we all had a Rob(b)oter? Namely a seal (in German: "Robbe") that is also a robot. What if we all had a Rob(b)oter that could, for example, change locations for us or take work off our hands?

The LIMINAL SPACE RECORDS exhibition searches for an in-between, between digital and physical space. This in-between could be a robot: He:She connects humans and technology. He:She is the connection between digital and physical space.

The health crisis has led many to live their lives within their own four walls. Many spaces outside of our own homes were only accessible digitally, and it was the digital that allowed us to change places during this time. Digital freedom of movement allowed us to transcend physical space. A digital freedom of movement that can glide from place to place like a seal, existing between digital and physical space.

Starting with small stuffed seals, in this workshop we will talk together about the abilities our Rob(b)oters should have and equip the stuffed animals together.

We are looking forward to your participation!

We ask for registration at with the subject "Rob(b)oter".

Participation is limited to 10 kids!

GUERILLA GIRLS.

Girls-Workshops in Kunstraum Niederoesterreich

Already in the 1980’s, the artist group Guerilla Girls asked the question "Do women have to be naked to get into the museum?" Named after the feminist pioneers who have been surveying representation in the field of art for thirty years, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich's GUERILLA GIRLS Workshop series provides a selective offer for girls in order to discuss issues such as emancipation and self-determination with young women.
