Performance workshop
Concept: Performatorium (Olivia Jaques and Marlies Surtmann)
Digging into the Archive is investigating the archive of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich and is a cooperation of the institution and Performatorium (Olivia Jaques and Marlies Surtmann).
For the second part of Digging into the Archive we have invited the artist Malu Blume and together we continue the investigation of her past Performance But they don't seem to go away (Performancereihe 2017, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich). Because of the current circumstances we will come together for a digital experiment. With Digging into the Archive II we take an occurrence from the archive, embark on a mental journey with bodily exercises and reconstruct the performance in our imagination. The (now digital) project demands the end of observation: not a re-enactment, but a forensic composition of traces, a physical recreation of a past event.
The workshop will take place online due to the COVID-19 protection measures, so please Register (max. 15 persons) via e-mail: anmeldung@kunstraum.net, Subject: Wühlen im Archiv II. After registration, the participants will receive a link to the digital workspace.
Digging into the Archive is a collaboration project between Performatorium Vienna and Kunstraum Niederoesterreich.
