Come One by One

Guided Tour through the exhibition Life constantly escapes

SA, 03 04 2021, 1:00 - 2:00 pm, online

On the final day of each exhibition, the Come Together tour offers space for discussion and questions. Finally, the theme of the exhibition can be reflected upon together. We have adapted this mediation format for you to the COVID-19 security measures.

During Come One by One visitors gain insight into the artistic works of the exhibition Life constantly escapes and can discuss with our mediators.

The capitalist modern age is a socio-ecological catastrophe, a perpetual attack on life. At its core are certain ways of being, certain forms of subjectivisation and global conditions, which separate humans from the material of the world and put them in an extractive, value-based relation with it.

What happens now, when the realm of contemporary art focuses on this hereafter? When it is not organised by the dominant concepts of the world, humans, or subjectivity? This is Ferreira da Silva’s question, and the exhibition is dedicated to it.

Answers to this question and the opportunity to examine the works of the exhibition in more detail, you will receive at the joint guided online tour with our mediators Lisa Jäger and Clemens Rettenbacher and guest curator Andrea Popelka on 03 04 2021.
