Partus Gyno Bitch Tits is a performance about biohacking and reproduction, from milk production of male mammary glands and witch’s milk to gynecomastia, maternal amnesia, birth trauma, and feminist work. The performance is a synthesis of artist Claudia Lomoschitz‘s multiyear investigations into biologisms, reproduction phantasms, queer identity politics, gender equitable models of society, and molecular feminism. Claudia Lomoschitz conducted in-depth interviews, clicked through Internet videos from births and child birthing methods to even fetish enactments of it, and tracked down evidence of interspecies breastfeeding, religious representations of lactating Virgin Mary figures, and induced lactation of uterus-less (male) bodies. Partus Gyno Bitch Tits explores fictional visions of society and molecular feminism, while posing questions about the role of reproductive work in the age of a care crisis in the most unexpected ways.
