Exhibitions at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich
Each year the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich presents three exhibitions with young Austrian artists and international artistic positions. The thematic group exhibitions explore social, political, and also formal themes and pursue alternative exhibition formats and curatorial concepts. The exhibitions are structure, display, and content in a dialogue between institutions, artists, and networks, and aim to reveal new, innovative perspectives.
The focus is placed upon artistic performance. This ephemeral, multifaceted medium is given space, heightened visibility, and the opportunity to present material manifestations and artefacts. In intensive collaborations with Austrian and international art universities the Kunstraum investigates new formats and supports experimental developments in art. Exhibitions are accompanied by thematic lecture series, discussion rounds, and education projects.
