WORKSHOPS
Kunstraum Niederoesterreich offers a broad spectrum of exhibition-related workshops for adults and youth, school classes and non-profit associations. In the workshops participants can personally encounter contemporary art and, in particular, the medium of performance, whereby we place great emphasis on the experimental character inherent to this art form. The workshops are conducted by our art education team or by invited artists. Our aim is to break down barriers and provide a tangible experience of art to a multifaceted audience.
Workshops for Youth with Integrated Tour: Exhibitions are boring… We don’t believe that! School classes and youth groups are warmly invited to stop by for a visit. Our workshops offer a practice-oriented bridge between contemporary art and the interests of today’s youth. Following an introductory tour, they can take matters into their own hands in the workshops and experience art with all of their senses. We believe that contemporary art can provide young people deeper insights into topical themes in society and artistic and scientific contents. To this end, we focus on building relationships with the life realities of the youth.
Artists Workshops: Parallel to each running exhibition, there are workshops for adults in the form of thematic accompanying programmes. In this way, workshop participants attain insights into the practices of our artists and have the opportunity to learn more about artistic working methods and contemporary schools of thought.
GUERILLA GIRLS Workshops: Since 2019 the workshop series GUERILLA GIRLS at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich provides a special programme for girls to discuss topics running parallel to the exhibitions, such as emancipation and self-determination. Upon interest in a workshop, girls associations or groups are welcome to get in touch with us. Participation is free of charge.
