Alongside its current exhibitions, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich offers a selection of art education and mediation projects as well as public events, all free of charge.

Our offer is aimed at visitors of all age groups and from all walks of life, with entry-level art education formats for school classes complemented by offers tailored specifically for students and specialist audiences.

By working together with educational establishments, schools and non-profit associations we aim to promote exchanges and networking between various interest groups.

We focus in particular on explorations of the medium of performance and its experimental character and examine the place and situation of performance in art and society.

Besides public guided tours and curator-led tours through our exhibitions, our lecture series, panel discussions and workshops provide opportunities for addressing social and artistic issues from a specialist vantage point – in dialogue with artists and curators working in the contemporary performance scene. Visitors are able to gain a first-hand insight into how artistic performances are created in practice.

Perhaps you’re looking for a personalised introduction to our exhibitions, in which case we would be delighted to show you around. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team members, who are only too happy to assist you with information about our exhibition contents. And if you’d like to explore our exhibition themes in greater depth, why not make use of our Kunstraum Lounge and our on-site reference library, too.

Kunstraum Niederoesterreich's GUERILLA GIRLS Workshop series provides a selective offer for girls in order to discuss issues such as emancipation and self-determination with young women.

If you are interested in a workshop, girls’ clubs and girls' groups are welcome to contact us. Participation is free!
