I sketch outlines in pencil, draw lines and hatching on the paper. Then I cut out the forms: including fingers, ears and ends of sleeves. I sew these parts together, fold and bend them, and so get the drawing to grow.
The drawings first started to intervene in the room in Oslo, during my studies there. I developed them further, drew whole figures, which became part of my dissertation work at the Linz University of Art in 2010. Here in Vienna blue-green plant leaves have now joined in and grow from the corners, nooks and crannies of my studio.
The works have been and are exhibited among others in the Conner Contemporary Art Gallery (Washington DC, 2012), in the Ursulinenkirche (2012,art prize of the diocese) and in the Startgalerie of the MUSA (2013).
